The ancient art of encaustic painting produces an ethereal, luminescent surface completely different from watercolors, oil paints or acrylics.

The process begins as natural beeswax is combined with pigments and the resin of Indonesian fir trees. Layers of pigmented wax are fused together with heat, creating images with distinct qualities of depth and luminosity.
